George Brown III Director, Alumni Scholars Club
George Brown is the director of the Alumni Scholars Club at the UCLA Alumni Association. Previously, he was director of membership for the YMCA. George has nearly a decade of experience in student recruitment, scholarship management and student programming.
Brown is a member of the Black Staff and Faculty Association at UCLA. He is also a volunteer at West Angeles Church of God in Christ and St. Jerome Catholic Church. Brown's areas of expertise include building strong teams, scholarship program development and management, student programming and student recruitment.
A graduate of California State University, Northridge, Brown holds a bachelor's degree in business administration. Brown is a native of Los Angeles.
Jacob Sproul Assistant Director, Alumni Scholars Club and Alumni Scholarship Program
Jacob Sproul is the Assistant Director of the Alumni Scholars Club and Alumni Scholarship Program at the UCLA Alumni Association. He has been with the Alumni Association since 2015, and has previously worked for Parent & Family Programs at UCLA. Prior to UCLA, Sproul has gathered extensive experience in student development and engagement, including professional positions in Residential Life, Fraternity & Sorority Life, and Student Activities at several other California universities.
Originally from Detroit, Michigan, Sproul has a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Advertising from Central Michigan University and a Master’s degree in Educational Administration & Leadership from University of the Pacific. He enjoys running and has completed three marathons, playing tennis, and reading.
Anthony Cube Assistant Director, Alumni Marketing and Communications
Anthony Cube has worked in marketing with the UCLA Alumni Association since 2005. He is responsible for communicating and promoting volunteer opportunities, BruinWorks (online network tool for alumni), Alumni Scholars Club activities, career services and various local alumni events. He also reviews communication sent out on behalf of UCLA College and professional schools such as the UCLA Medical Alumni Association and School of Nursing. He is also responsible for marketing various student initiatives such as Entertainment Networking Night, Interview with a Bruin and Spirit Squad.
Prior to joining UCLA, Cube worked for the Josephson Institute of Ethics for more than seven years as an educational programs manager. He was responsible for coordinating and marketing nationwide training seminars for a character education program called CHARACTER COUNTS!
Cube grew up in Los Angeles and graduated from UC Irvine with a bachelor's degree in political science. He enjoys spending time with his wife and two little girls, and watching sports.
Anna Hamilton Program Coordinator and Bruin Recruitment, Alumni Scholars Club
Anna Hamilton joined the UCLA Alumni Association in late 2015, as program coordinator for the Alumni Scholarships team and Bruin Recruitment. Formerly a Training Coordinator for External Affairs HR & Training, Anna has extensive customer service and event management experience, which she puts to use in support of the Alumni Scholars Club initiatives. Prior to joining External Affairs in 2009, Anna worked at UCLA Events & Transportation for ten years, where among her most noted accomplishments is the creation of the departmental newsletter, which is still in existence and going strong.
A native Californian—born and raised in Los Angeles—Anna attended Whittier College, where she majored in English. Now, a proud mother of a lovely, young daughter, Anna enjoys spending time with her family and is fully engaged and committed to her daughters’ activities and to watching her grow.
