Come learn all of the things you want to about UCLA, but can’t learn from the brochure. At the event, you’ll get the inside scoop on all of UCLA’s best events, best classes/professors, and even how to get free parking.

Fall Quarterly

Thursday, Oct. 4, 5-7 p.m.

Come join the fun, have some dinner, listen to a great presentation, earn one service hour and learn about the upcoming events for the quarter. Service hours earned attending ASC quarterly meetings do not count towards the three-hour requirement.

Receive vital information about the four main ethnic study research centers on the UCLA campus and learn about how to enact community involvement through the medium of research.

Halloween Scary Movie Night

You’ll have a frighteningly good time watching something spooky on the most terrifying night of the year, especially while enjoying snacks and visiting with other ASC ghouls and goblins. Costumes are highly encouraged.

Speed Networking Event

Monday, Nov. 5, 6-8 p.m.
James West Alumni Center

Develop networking skills from a professional business counselor and network with alumni one-on-one. Following a brief presentation on networking tips, students will have the opportunity to “speed” network with alumni. Students who want to participate in the mentorship program should plan to attend, as potential mentors will be at the event to meet students.

Peer-2-Peer Coffee Break

Get to know your peer mentor or mentee and make plans for your exciting new partnership while enjoying a delicious hot beverage at the Novel Cafe. We will meet at 6:45 p.m. at the Bruin Bear, or, if it is more convenient for you, you can join us at the Cafe at 7 p.m.

Ambassador Workshop

Learn how to reach out to potential high school and community college transfer student applicants for Alumni Scholarships. Your help could increase the number of students applying for scholarships. Service hours can be earned through the Ambassador Program.

Harry Potter $2 Movie Night

Career counselor Danelle Boone will be on-hand to read resumés as will several companies who will be looking to recruit scholars. Fun For Finals

Come take a study break by swinging by JWAC for some food, fun, and (of course) ASC friends. Wear your PJs, sweats, or study clothes of any variety and bring a pillow if you'd like to battle. Activities include pillow fights (duh), EATING, massages =), basic and brief yoga sessions, random games, and relaxing to the extreme. Food includes pastries, bagels, cereal, muffins, juice, coffee, hot cocoa, etc.
