George works with Alumni volunteers throughout California who screen scholarship applications and interview students. He also oversees the Distinguished Senior Award, the Lew and Edie Wasserman Grant and the Community College Transfer Scholarship. George enjoys working for the Alumni Association because, as he says, “It is an amazing experience working on something that changes lives. It feels rewarding to know that I am helping students who might not otherwise be able to afford to come to UCLA have access to higher education.”
Michelle serves as the advisor for the Alumni Scholars Club and the executive board. Michelle provides students with advice and assistance with programming events and networking with alumni. She also manages all aspects of the renewal scholarship program. Michelle says the favorite part of her work is "Working with the students in creating a home base here at the alumni association for all our scholars. I love spending time with our students and helping to create new programming that will enrich their experience at UCLA.
Meghan provides coordination between staff, donors, volunteers, and scholarship recipients in order to help make the scholarship program run smoothly. Meghan states that so far, her favorite part of work is being on the UCLA campus. As she says, “It's such a beautiful place to spend your days, I'm so lucky to be a part of it.”
Anthony is responsible for communicating and promoting ASC events, announcements and service opportunities, which includes the bi-weekly e-newsletter, web copy, BRUINvites and other communications sent through the Alumni Association. His other responsibilities include marketing Alumni Scholarships events, publications and communication to potential students; recruiting alumni volunteers for Interview With a Bruin, Alumni Mentor Program, Entertainment Networking Night, scholarship selection and leadership opportunities within the Association; marketing the Association's alumni career services such as BruinView for Alumni, career counseling, Career Network and career workshops for alumni; and marketing Association local events such as Women's Conference, reunions and college fairs. Anthony’s favorite hobby is “going to Laker games!”
