Spring Quarterly

Thursday, April 10, 5-7 p.m.

Come to the last quarterly of the year, Disney style, complete with musical performances and costumes from E-board and Committee. We'll tell you how to get the rest of those service hours and all the other amazing ASC Spring Quarter events (you won't want to miss them). Don't forget you'll get an hour of ASC service and a free dinner so don't miss it! It'll be the "happiest Quarterly on earth".

Executive Board Applications Available

Executive Board applications for the 2008-2009 academic year will be made available on-line and in hard copy at Spring Quarterly. Applicants should return their applications by 5:30 p.m. on April 25 to be considered. To access a description of each Executive Board position, please click here. Heal the Bay

Community Service Week

Earn all of your service hours within the span of one week by attending the various service events offered during this fun week. To find out more about the events being held, please click here.

Feast on Foot

Sunday, April 13, 4-7 p.m.
James West Alumni Center

Come network with alumni in an intimate setting with your favorite ASC friends. Enjoy a home cooked meal provided by your E-board and alumni volunteers. This is one of ASC's oldest traditions, so don't miss out! Please RSVP to ascalumnirelationscommittee@gmail.com by April 4.

Time and Stress Management Workshop

Thursday, April 17, 6-8 p.m.
James West Alumni Center

The event will feature a half-hour yoga meditation session, a 15-minute presentation on time and stress management, and healthy food.

State Finals Welcome Day

Saturday, April 26, 8 a.m.-6 p.m.
James West Alumni Center

Welcome Day is full of activities aimed at helping the students get to know UCLA, current Alumni Scholars, and most importantly each other. That night students sleep in the dorm room of a current Alumni Scholar. To find out more about how you can get involved, please click here.

State Finals

Sunday, April 27, 8 a.m.-7 p.m.
James West Alumni Center

At State Finals, students participate in three rotations of competition. The rotations include an essay writing exercise, interviews and a group problem-solving exercise. The day culminates with an awards ceremony, at which State Finalists are awarded their scholarships. This past year the top awards were $15,000 paid over four years. Mocktail Party

Thursday, May 1, 6:30 p.m.
James West Alumni Center

This cocktail-style party is one of ASC's largest events of the year. Network with alumni and students in a fun environment. We'll have delicious "mocktail" drinks and yummy appetizers. Our keynote speakers are always a hit. Cocktail attire is appropriate. RSVP early to gaurantee attendance at this popular event. Please RSVP to ASCalumnirelationscommittee@gmail.com by April 25.

Spring Sing

Los Angeles Tennis Center

We know you are ALL going to Spring Sing, so why not come with ASC? Here's the deal: We will get in line early and save a spot for you and then feed you dinner! Sounds AMAZING!! All you have to do is buy a ticket from Michelle this coming week for $5 and you can join us for pizza, some fun before Spring Sing and of course good seats! Feel free to bring non-ASC friends they are welcome, encouraged, recommended all they need is the same $5 ticket! Michelle will have the tickets in her cube at JWAC in the days leading up to the event, so make sure you get one so you can join us!

I'm Going to College

ASC Planetarium Night and Bunche Photo Shoot

James West Alumni Center

Come watch the nighttime sky with Bunche Scholars! Everyone is invited. Check out http://www.astro.ucla.edu/planetarium/ for more information. The doors close promptly at 7 p.m., so please be on time.

Also, just before the event, please come join us at 6:30 pm in front of Bunche Hall to take a group photo of Bunche Scholars. It'll make for a great memory, so don't miss out.

Microphones and Milkshakes Karaoke Night

Come enjoy milkshakes and karaoke with ASC, at an event sponsored by the P2P committee.

Ragin' Cajun Festival

Thursday, May 15, 6-9 p.m.
Sunset Recreation Center

Come enjoy this great event that features a live Grammy Nominated Cajun Band, traditional Cajun food, and fun festival activities arranged by many campus organizations. The event is open to the entire campus and the proceeds will go to Hurricane Katrina Victims.

Spring Barbecue (Mentor Program)
