Ever thought ASC was exciting enough for TV? Come watch as Jenn Hyman, a seasoned ASC professional, coaches a freshman club member in the ways of the Alumni Scholar. Her training program involves guiding the freshman through a series of the most intense TV shows available today, and the trials he'll endure will guide him towards his apotheosis as an alumni scholar. The five qualities tested will be those on the back of the ASC shirts: Bruin, Student, Volunteer, Leader, Friend. Stick around to find out about great ASC events this spring, and enjoy free dinner!
I'm Going to College: Track and Field

Give young students, bussed in from inner-city schools, a tour of UCLA: talk to them about college and life as a UCLA student. You receive four service hours, a free lunch, and a free t-shirt! RSVP at spirit@alumnischolarsclub.org

Bunche is cooking up something special for this great event! Join fellow ASCers to learn some new cooking tips, and get a chance to get away from that dining hall faire! Have a great time relaxing and making pizza with your friends, and you will get to see how our ASC pizza matches up with other 'lesser' varieties. Hope to see you there!

Join us for a progressive dinner in local Westwood apartments. Students will rotate among different apartments to share main courses and desserts with different groups of alumni. Scholar Relations Game Night at State Finals

Come enjoy Spring Sing 2009 with your fellow ASCers!! Join us in line on May 8th at 6:30pm outside Pauley Pavillion so we can all get seats together. Also, we will provide pizza for everyone while we wait in line for just $5. Make sure to get your money to Michelle Sproat by May 6th if you want pizza. See you there!

Join us on Wednesday, May 13th from 6-7pm for our Transfer Mixer and discover the stories of your fellow ASC Transfer Scholars with the premier of our exciting new documentary! This is the perfect chance to get that last service hour you need by helping to make cards for kids at the Mattel Children's Hospital and helping put the finishing touches on our Socks for Smiles Drive. So take an hour of your day and help us put a smile on the face of those kids. See you there!

Things are getting a little hot, so take a break from your classes and come hang out with ASC at Dockweiler Beach! We'll be cooking up some smores and hanging out with friends at the ASC bonfire. Volunteer Recognition Event

Hey ASCers! Looking for a gratifying way to de-stress before re-stressing over finals? The Scholar-Relations Committee and the Vice President's Committee request your invigorating presence at the annual Volunteer Recognition Event, to be held May 30th, from 4:30-6:30 PM in the upper Sunset Rec area. Come hang out following scholarship renewal interviews for an evening of WATER, GAMES, AWARDS, FOOD and MORE WATER! There will also be an imposing carnival item that we're sure will be worth your time, laughs and energy! We want to recognize our volunteers, ALL 600+ of you, for your dedication and enthusiasm displayed in serving UCLA and the community at-large throughout the year. So join us on May 30th, and help us make this VRE the best one in the history of ASC!
